Since the conversation was going to take a while, Callum asked Patrick to make coffee for his special guest. He was actually very reluctant to talk to Zack because they hadn’t communicated much, and the last time they’d discussed business was three years ago. Therefore, he was curious why Zack suddenly asked for his help, even though their relationship wasn’t very close.

“My company is currently developing the latest technology. We need a lot of funding, and would you be willing to become my investor p>
Callum’s brow furrowed. “What technology are you currently developing p>
“I think I’ll have to explain it to you in person. You won’t understand if I just talk now p>
“But, when it comes to technology, it seems like a very serious matter. You must be developing it and need a lot of help p>
“Would you like to see it in person at my office p>
Callum nodded. “Of course. If I saw it by myself, it would definitely make me consider investing in your company p>
Callum reluctantly complied with Zack’s request to visit his office. He deliberately invited Patrick to accompany him as well, as a witness to his late return due to another trip.
Arriving at an office quite far from his own, Callum looked around in surprise, not expecting this fledgling company to already have so many employees. As he walked alongside Patrick, many employees passed by, communicating with each other about project progress. What particularly stunned him was the sight of a robot being tested by a division. If he sees the very busy working environment of this company, he can judge that this company will end up being successful.
After a long wander around the office, Callum and Patrick were invited into the director’s office and seated on the sofa. Callum kept nodding his head as he adjusted his slightly crooked tie.

“I didn’t expect your company to look so amazing now p>
“This is all thanks to the many people who have supported me since I founded the company. They are very interested in the technology I’m currently developing p>
“But technology-based companies are indeed very interesting and trendy these days. Especially if you’re developing AI as well p>
Zack snapped his fingers. “Did you see that robot we were testing earlier? Of course, it’s an AI that will advise us on business strategy p>

“But, the robot is still not perfect because I still have to do more in-depth testing p>
“That’s true. When it comes to technology, you have to test frequently until the results are error-free p>
“Then, are you interested in helping me to be more successful p>
“I’ll study your proposal first. If it’s really interesting, I’ll become your investor right away p>
After chatting with Zack for a while, Callum decided to visit his fiancée’s boutique. However, before doing so, he took a quick pee in the restroom while tidying up his appearance.
While he was washing his hands, he suddenly heard the voices of employees communicating with each other. The employees were discussing the company’s unstable work system, which made him suspicious. Moreover, the company had been described as a shell company. Could this be a trap?
Callum walked out of the restroom, gazing around with a focused gaze. He approached the sales desk. As he opened the folders one by one, there wasn’t a single sales report.
Without saying a word, he immediately led Patrick out of the building and into his sedan parked in the lobby. Callum immediately handed Zack’s business card to Patrick with a pale face.
“Patrick, can you investigate Zack a little more p>
“Why are you acting like this all of a sudden? Haven’t you and Zack known each other for a long time p>
“I know him. But I feel there’s something strange about his company p>

“That company is just a shell company. I overheard the employees talking earlier, saying they actually come to work whenever a potential investor is visiting. Then, when I looked at the sales report earlier, it was blank p>

“I suspect it’s just a toy robot or one he bought from another company.” His hands were clenched tightly. “How dare he try to trick me p>
