Remembering that sweet moment five years ago, Edith couldn’t wait for her wedding. Although Callum’s proposal was simple, it deeply touched her. If only there hadn’t been a wall blocking their relationship, they would have been married long ago.
After enjoying porridge with Callum, Edith now rested to allow her body to recover quickly. She truly missed playing with her twins. However, she had to obey her beloved fiancé’s orders for her own sake.
Before falling back asleep, Edith played with Callum for a moment. Callum wrote something on her palm with his index finger. Edith knew what Callum was writing, and it made her laugh happily.

Callum kissed her cheek. “Actually, I have a lot more to say to you. But it’s going to be a long one p>
“It’s okay. In fact, I really liked your writing earlier p>
A weak sigh escaped his lips. “If I had proposed to you the right way back then, you wouldn’t have misunderstood in the first place p>
Edith shook her head quickly. “No. In fact, you proposed to me in a very sweet way, and I really liked it. Even though you proposed without a ring, it meant a lot to me.” A happy smile spread across her beautiful face. “Why give me a ring if the relationship doesn’t work out in the end p>
Hearing his fiancée’s sarcastic remark, Callum laughed awkwardly. “Did you just make a dig at Cliff p>
“Of course. He proposed to me with a real gold engagement ring. But in the end, he cheated on me p>
“Then, you returned the gold ring by throwing it away openly in front of me and Arabella p>
Edith stared at the necklace Callum had given her on the dressing table. “I’d rather wear your necklace than his gold ring p>

Callum gently laid his fiancée down on the bed. “You should go to bed first. After this, I’m going to play with the kids for a bit p>

With Edith back asleep, Callum returned to watching cartoons with his children in the living room. Callum found the atmosphere quite awkward as his twins remained silent. Was the reason for their silence because their mother was sick? How should he break the news to them?

Erdin exhaled weakly, pursing his lips. “Actually, I’m really worried about Mom p>
“Me too. Mom is sick from work exhaustion p>
Callum lowered his head and stared at his nails. “Your mother told me not to worry too much about her, because she’ll be fine by this afternoon p>
“But is it possible? Mom’s been sick for days,” Eliana said softly.
A sweet smile spread across his handsome face. “At that time, I wasn’t by her side. But now, I will continue to be by her side and care for her until she recovers p>
“Dad is indeed the best father.” Eliana hugged her father’s body tightly.
Erdin also hugged his father. “Dad, please make mom better so we can play with her again p>
As evening approached, Callum’s words were indeed true. Edith’s condition improved, and her fever finally subsided. Therefore, she didn’t want to stay locked up in her room all day, as it was boring. She walked out of the room and went to her children, who were playing with their father in the living room.

Erdin and Eliana immediately stood up and ran to their mother. “Mom p>
Edith immediately stepped back. “Don’t come any closer! You’ll get sick too p>
“Mom, are you okay now?” Eliana asked with teary eyes.
“Is mommy still sick?” Erdin also asked softly.
Edith smiled warmly at her twins. “I don’t have a fever anymore. But don’t hug me yet, because I’m just getting better. I’m worried I’ll catch a fever again p>
“If you’re still sick, you should just rest,” suggested Erdin.
“I want mom to get well soon so we can play again,” Eliana added.
Meanwhile, Callum could only stare silently at his twins’ overly sweet behavior toward their mother. He walked slowly over and then put his arm around his fiancée’s shoulder affectionately.
“Since the kids are so worried about you, how about you get some more rest p>
“Actually, I’m bored if I sleep all day. I’ll gain weight, too p>
“You’re not going to get fat.” Callum gently pinched his fiancée’s soft cheeks. “Even if you’re fat, you’re still beautiful p>

Callum snapped his fingers for a moment. “Why don’t you just watch us play? Instead of joining in and getting a fever again p>
Edith smiled happily, sitting on the sofa, watching Callum and his twins play Monopoly. If only she could play too, it would be so much more fun. But seeing this happy little family now made her happy too.
“Erdin, if you lose playing against your father, don’t throw a tantrum, okay p>
Callum raised his head arrogantly. “I’ve always been good at Monopoly. Don’t worry, no one can beat me p>
“Dad, can you give in to me once in a while?” Erdin cooed, blinking his eyes several times.
Meanwhile, Eliana remained silent and focused on her game. In the end, she was the one who outperformed Erdin.
“Hurray, I beat Erdin p>
Callum burst out laughing as he stared at Erdin, who was becoming increasingly gloomy. “So I inherited my Monopoly skills from Eliana p>
“Eliana is cheating, Dad p>
Eliana immediately glared at her brother, grinning. “I didn’t cheat! You’re the one who’s so bad you can’t play p>
Meanwhile, Edith rolled her eyes at her twins’ yet another fight over a game. But she felt it was perfectly normal for little kids to fight over games. Rather than her twins being deprived of their freedom to play to their heart’s content because their family was broken up.
