Due to the crowded school atmosphere, they were unaware that someone was watching their movements. Edith was more focused on her role as a single mother, even though she was walking with her boyfriend. She found it difficult to be separated from him, as he had become accustomed to being pampered every day.
If everyone knew they were actually family, they wouldn’t have to put on such a show, including the twins. Besides, everyone would be jealous of them for successfully forming a harmonious little family.
Edith knew Callum wanted to hold her hand, but she tried to keep her distance so he could behave during the family day at school. After all, all the parents here knew they were a single mother and a single father.

Edith stared nervously at Callum. Just as she was about to continue her conversation with him, several parents approached them. Edith was forced to postpone her conversation with her boyfriend and greet all the parents, who were also close friends.
“Edith! You look so beautiful today. Did you design this dress?” said a woman who was shorter than Edith.
Edith smiled shyly, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Thanks for the compliment, Laura. This dress was designed by me p>
“No wonder I saw your daughter wearing the same dress as you.” Laura narrowed her eyes. “But, I have a real question. How can your daughter’s face be so similar to Callum’s son p>
A man standing next to Laura glared at Callum. “This is what I’ve found a little odd from the start. Is it true that Erdin is an only child p>
Callum smiled casually, glancing at his lover. “You’ll find out someday. For now, you can see I’m just a single father p>
“Really? But the color of your clothes is similar to Edith’s,” said another woman standing behind Laura, sipping orange juice.
Edith was at a loss for words. She admitted it was actually very difficult to answer all the questions the parents had asked. If she lied, would everyone believe her?
“Maybe this could be called a coincidence,” said Callum, staring at his lover intently.
“We don’t think this is a coincidence, Callum. But you two are actually a married couple,” Laura retorted, chuckling.

Callum accepted everything the parents said because it was factual. However, he continued to think of ways to make his girlfriend feel less awkward.

Callum smiled mischievously and put his arm around Philip’s shoulder. “If you two support our relationship, you have to help me too p>

“We’re not innocent. We’re speaking the truth. You and Callum are actually husband and wife, and Erdin and Eliana are your children,” Laura replied firmly, chuckling.

Not only were Laura and Philip amazed, but so were the other parents standing nearby. Edith was actually growing increasingly reluctant to raise her head, as she grew increasingly embarrassed to face the parents.
“The various parent-participation competitions will begin soon. Parents are expected to stand side by side with their partners,” the master of ceremonies announced over the loudspeaker.
The parents were ready to stand side by side with their partners, leaving only Edith and Callum standing awkwardly facing each other. Callum had actually wanted to invite his girlfriend to accompany him, but her expression now showed no sign of resistance.
“Maybe I won’t participate in the competition because I’m just a single mother,” Edith said softly.
“Don’t say that, Edith! Why don’t you participate with Callum?” Laura suggested enthusiastically.
“Come on, Callum! Edith! You two should participate together since you’re the only one without a partner!” Philip shouted.
