Cliff was still searching for his beloved fiancée inside the venue, trying to contact her by call. However, his calls went unanswered, leading him to suspect something was amiss with his fiancée. Furthermore, he realized he hadn’t seen his stepsister around the party. He wondered if his fiancée was having an affair with his stepbrother. That was what made him furious and quicken his pace.
When he opened the break room door, he had already assumed his fiancée would be with her stepbrother. However, what was happening now was completely different. Instead, his fiancée was in a serious argument with her stepbrother.
Edith slapped Callum’s soft cheek roughly, as if she were deeply disappointed in him. However, she was forced to do so to avoid Cliff’s suspicions. She silently apologized for hurting her beloved fiancé rather than letting them survive.

“Edith, please, I still want to be with you. I want us to start over p>
“It’s too late, Callum! I won’t give you another chance!” Edith pushed her fiancé’s body roughly as she walked out of the room.
Cliff immediately chased after his sulking fiancée. He had initially intended to beat Callum up for not giving up on his fiancée, but now he didn’t have to go that far because Edith had already stepped in and slapped Callum’s cheek without hesitation.
“Edith, wait for me!” Cliff shouted.
Edith paused for a moment, turning around with her head lowered. “I’m not worthy to face you, Cliff p>
“I’m not going to scold you for this, Edith. In fact, I’m worried about you because Callum keeps bothering you all the time p>
“I want you to accompany me for a drink now. May I have a drink p>

They were now sitting side by side. Edith had deliberately sat between Cliff and Arabella because she didn’t want to sit next to Callum for the time being. She had previously argued with Callum, but now they were sitting far apart, as if they were enemies.
