I ignored all the online chatter, focusing on catching up and preparing for my departure.
As the band’s popularity soared, the fanbase quickly split. One faction was Blake’s solo fans, believing their idol should stay single. The other was Madison’s personal fans plus devoted “ Blake –Madison” shippers.
The two factions were at each other’s throats online
Solo fans attacked Madison:

“What type of girl do you like?” The reporter teased glancing meaningfully at Madison. “Maybe someone with shared interests, beautiful and outgoing p>
Blake frowned slightly, answering formulaically, “Right now I just want to focus on my career. Music is everything to me p>
When the interview aired, solo fans felt victorious:

Now here he was on that glittering stage, singing our song to thousands of screaming strangers, while the girl in his song was about to be an ocean away.
